    HUA HIN, THAILAND, June 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hua Hin in the south of Thailand is set to host the prestigious Hua Hin Regatta this summer and the resort is looking forward to sailing and yachting enthusiasts arriving from all around the world to both participate and spectate.

The event was founded in the name of the revered monarch of Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumiphol, back in the year 2000 and yachting is His Majesty's favourite sport. Indeed he himself in 1966 sailed a single-man dinghy for 60 miles across the waters of the Gulf of Thailand.

The sailing event is an open championship and entrants are encouraged from around the world to take part in sailing through some of Thailand's most picturesque waters.
