A special concert will be held for one night only on July 1st, featuring some of the Austrian composer's most famous works.

People who attend the Auckland Town Hall will be treated to an evening of song, dancing and other entertainment as part of the Night in Vienna show from the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra (APO).

Tales from the Vienna Woods, Pizzicato Polka and The Blue Danube Waltz are all on the programme, with famous dancers lined up to bring the music to life.

Aaron Gilmore and Nerida Cortese, who have both appeared on TV show Dancing with the Stars, will perform two waltzes - Wine, Woman and Song and On the Beautiful Blue Danube.

Radoslaw Szulc is the conductor for the evening, while soprano vocals will be provided by Natalie Jones.

Tickets start from NZ$55 for adults, although a special promotion is being run to celebrate the APO's 30th anniversary, which will see a limited number of tickets offered at NZ$30 to anyone in their 30s.

Later in July, the APO will be performing a set of concerts under the banner The Splendour of Vienna Series.

They will include renditions of works by famous Viennese composers such as Beethoven and Mozart.
