Philips AED Trainer and Distributor GA CPR Joins Omicron Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi for CPR and Basic First Aid Training Classes at The University of Georgia

GA CPR, a full service safety company, makes plans with AEPi - UGA for instructing their members in CPR, first aid training, and Atlanta CPR classes.



    ATLANTA, GA, June 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- GA CPR, a safety company specializing in providing Atlanta CPR classes, product consultation, and advisory services on developing custom Philips AED emergency response programs, will offer members of AEPi Fraternity at The University of Georgia, CPR and basic first aid Training Classes. There is currently no regulation requiring this training for on campus fraternities.

Alpha Epsion Pi fraternity has been safety conscious since its inception in 1926 on the University of Georgia campus. While CPR classes aren't required by fraternities, the value of such training is evident. Blake S. Helfman, president of AEPi at UGA, explains why they have decided to offer safety training. "It is important for everyone to have life safety skills, especially in college and in an environment where we are around so many people." Helfman continues on to say, "GA CPR has offered us a unique opportunity to partner with an alumni-owned business and offer members something different." GA CPR's clients can register for either group or private courses designed to meet their safety needs.

Every Georgia CPR instructor is certified through American Heart Association, The National Safety Council, and Medic First Aid. In addition to Atlanta CPR training, GA CPR also offers Phillips AED training and equipment, such as CPR manikins and CPR masks. Phillips AED is top-rated, FDA approved, and easy to use in both public and private CPR situations.

Benjamin Karp, President of GA CPR, shares why the company enjoys instructing CPR classes and safety training to the members of Alpha Epsilon Pi at UGA. "We appreciate AEPi for recognizing the importance of safety training. I think AEPi at UGA is setting an example, raising the bar on what fraternities are all about. Lives can be saved if the example is followed." GA CPR has plans to come to the University of Georgia campus and provide CPR and Basic First Aid training to the members of AEPi. The training guidelines will be based upon the American Heart Association and Medic First Aid International.

Alpha Epsilon Pi, Omicron Chapter, was founded in 1926 on the University of Georgia Campus. They currently have about 87 members. Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. They have focused on developing the leadership for the future of the American Jewish community. Omicron chapter of AEPi has, for the third consecutive semester, achieved the highest GPA of all IFC fraternities.
