Wix.com Fills Template Galleries with New Designs and Adds Content to Free Website Builder

With a simple drag & drop process, users can build a site from scratch by adding design elements such as text, images, buttons, widgets, animated effects and more with just a few clicks. Wix also offers a range of free Flash website templates arranged by category, which users can customize through the same intuitive drag & drop mechanism. Today Wix added a fresh batch of content to its already impressive archive of web design elements.

A series of new Flash website templates offer users additional design options when choosing a foundation for their site creation. New restaurant templates include designs for sushi, pizza parlor, bakery and diner websites, complete with high-quality images and fully customizable menus. There are also new e-commerce templates for jewelry and collectibles, with online shops ready for users to add their own product images, prices and PayPal accounts. Upgrading a free website account to a premium package allows users to sell products directly from their Wix sites.

All of the stunning new templates can be seen by visiting the "Create" section of Wix.com, and clicking on "Latest" under the template categories. Each Flash template at Wix was created by a professional web designer. Clicking "Edit" on a template causes that template to be placed automatically inside the website builder, for the customization process to begin.

Wix has also thrown in a ton of new content to the editor itself. New animated icons and country flags are found inside the Clip Art section of the free website builder, and new styles of page arrows can be used to improve the navigation of web pages, photo galleries and media players. New bakery, market, pets and garden-themed images have been added to Wix's free photo archive. The new items can be customized to suit the individual needs of each Wix user.
