Cruise1st Set to Launch Australian Branch

    MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, June 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cruise1st, the UK based cruise specialist website, have recently announced that they are set to launch a new Australian branch of their website in mid July. The cruise site hopes to capitalise on the growth seen in the cruise industry in recent years. Cruise1st is owned by Royal Caribbean, who claim that their new Australian website will be the first to allow Australian customers to book every part of their cruise (including flights and hotels) in one, simple transaction.

Sandy Greenwood, who used to manage Bentours and MyPlanet, will be general manager of the new website and office in Sydney. Sandy has announced that around 15 staff will be employed in the new premises, working in sales, admin and management. She added that the new site would offer one of the largest ranges of cruises on offer in Australia, from both global and local partners, with prices being displayed in Australian Dollars.

"High street travel agents are having to lower their prices more and more in order to compete with the cruise deals available from online specialists. Cruise1st therefore feel that this is the right time to expand into 'cruise positive' markets, such as Australia," Greenwood stated.

As well as the new website, there will be offices based on Blue Street in North Sydney. For any customers who would prefer to book their holiday in person, they can come to the office and speak to an advisor, or alternatively, call the cruise1st call centre.
