BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, June 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Centenary Rocks festival promises to offer something for anyone who is staying in Brisbane hotels in July to enjoy.
Taking place in Seventeen Mile Rocks in the south-west of the city between July 24th and 25th 2010, the event has won awards and is a real favourite with the locals.
A total of around 10,000 people are expected to pour into the Rocks Riverside Park venue over the course of the weekend to enjoy the huge range of entertainment on offer, which ranges from live dance groups and bands to firework displays and even a car show.
Some of the larger displays planned to take place during the two days include a display from the Centenary historical society, as well as a show from the Navy clearance diving team and music performed by the Army band.
With all that on offer, people who make their way down to the site from their Brisbane hotels may have a hard time believing that entry to the Centenary Rocks festival is completely free.
The entertainment will run from 12:00 until 18:30 local time on the Saturday and between 10:00 and 16:00 the following day.
Organisers have pointed out it is an all-weather event and have therefore advised people to bring their picnic rugs, sunscreen, hats and umbrellas.
For more information on this event visit the Centenary Rocks website or contact the venue on +61 09 728174.
