SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, June 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amateur sailors, yacht owners and other lovers of marine hardware will be heading to Darling Harbour for the Sydney International Boat Show next month.
Running from July 29th to August 2nd, the event will offer visitors the chance to view the latest sailing technology and see vessels of all types, from speedboats and yachts to dinghies, kayaks and jet skis.
The show takes place every year at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and can attract crowds of up to 75,000 people.
People using Sydney hotels can look forward to a number of special attractions at this summer's event, including an appearance from Australia's teenage sailing star Jessica Watson.
The 16-year-old from Queensland, who became the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe solo and unassisted earlier this year, is set to share the story of her remarkable voyage.
Watson will appear in the Better Boating Lounge and her speech is likely to be one of the most popular events at the show.
In addition, all ticket holders are entitled to a free boat tour of Sydney Harbour, with regular trips departing from Cockle Bay Marina each day.
Tickets can be purchased online before July 28th, priced at AU$16.50 for adults and AU$9.50 for children.
