NEW YORK, NY, July 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Manhattan Film Festival will be screening the ensemble cast award-winning film "Ashley's Ashes" at the Symphony Space Theater on Friday July 23rd at 3:00pm as part of this year's festival lineup.
"Ashley's Ashes is an amazing film and we are thankful we can offer our audience a film of this quality," said Philip Nelson, Festival Director- Manhattan Film Festival.
Ashley's Ashes is a finding yourself story of a middle-aged man who inherits an urn of ashes. He then sets out on a journey to find out who is in it, and in the course of discovery it changes his life.
Ashley's Ashes just picked up the award for "Best Comedy" at the Las Vegas International Film Festival last month, and has also been added to the official selections list for the upcoming Feel Good Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Landlocked Film Festival both held in August.
"Bob's quirky journey to find out whose ashes are contained in his seemingly randomly inherited urn brought us to fits of laughter and led us to a touching, beautiful discovery. Canada International Film Festival is proud to honor Ashley's Ashes with its Award of Excellence," says Bill Young, Festival Director- Canada International Film Festival.
The Directors, Christopher Hutson and Chris Kazmier, will be attending the festival along with a few surprise guests at the screening. For more information on the festival and screening go to:
