DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, July 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new exhibition at the Museum Kunst Palast in Dusseldorf entitled Right of Residence for Diana is the latest part of the Spot On series.
The art space will display a variety of items in different styles until August 29th 2010 as part of the show, which includes work by Alexander Bircken, Markus Vater and Arnold Bocklin among others.
It forms part of the Spot On series of exhibitions organised by the art space, which are held at six-month intervals and often feature pieces by local artists or people who have a connection with the German city.
One highlight for visitors who head down to the museum from their Dusseldorf hotel is Sleeping Diana, Watched by Two Fauns, by Bocklin, which is treated as one of the city's most important art works since it was loaned to the city by the German Federal Ministry for the Treasury in 1966.
"In line with the museum's liveliness and openness the Spot On programme goes beyond being restricted to most recent art or individual genres," explained the venue.
Entrance to the art space costs EUR9 (GBP7.60), with the building staying open between 11:00 and 18:00 local time every day, except on Thursdays when it closes at the later time of 21:00.
Among the other exhibitions showing there are Le Grand Geste! and a display of Johann Wilhelm Schirmer.
