    DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, July 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Indie-rock stars The xx are bringing their live show to the German city of Cologne, close to Dusseldorf, towards the end of next month.

The band, who got together back in 2005, have won critical acclaim from the likes of MTV and music industry bible NME in the past.

It is little surprise that the three-piece have gone on to achieve great things, given the esteemed company in which they spent their formative years. They attended Elliott School in London, which has also been home to the likes of Burial, Four Tet and Hot Chip.

As part of their current European tour, which also sees The xx playing in Gothenburg, Helsinki and Luxembourg, the group will play at Cologne's E-Werk venue on August 26th 2010.

Fans of the band will no doubt hope they get to hear some of the band's most popular tracks, including the likes of Crystalised, Basic Space, Islands and VCR.

Tickets for the show have yet to be released, although organisers have announced that the doors to E-Werk will open at 20:00 local time.

Dusseldorf hotel guests should find the show is within easy reach, as the two cities are little more than a 30-minute drive apart.

The venue itself is located on Schanzenstrasse.
