NORFOLK, ENGLAND, July 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Art lovers heading to Norfolk hotels this summer may like to have a look around the Blickling Hall gallery, since an exhibition entitled Shadows of Shakespeare is taking place.
The county has plenty of great art spaces, but what makes the venue special is the stunning buildings and beautiful landscaped gardens and park.
In addition to these permanent features of this Norfolk landmark, the Shadows of Shakespeare exhibition will be on display in the Long Gallery until August 30th.
This contemporary show has been created by Rosalind Lyons Hudson, who has painted a series of pictures of characters from the Tudor period, but given them a modern "twist", explain the organisers.
One such creation that visitors can enjoy is Cesario and Olivia, which shows a stern-looking woman in the foreground and another person hiding away behind her.
"Figures are the focal point of her paintings, many of which are actors, referred to as 'shadows' in the original Elizabethan theatre," added the venue.
The art space can be found in the town of Blickling, near Norwich, with the exhibition costing nothing to view.
However, if people want to have a look around the fabulous house and gardens on-site, they will need to pay GBP9.30.
Opening hours of the building are between 10:15 and 17:15 every day, with the house closed on Tuesdays.
