KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, August 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A special sneak preview of the fourth Malaysian Art Expo in Kuala Lumpur will take place from the start of next month.
The Malaysian capital's National Art Gallery will play host to the teaser exhibition and launch between September 1st and October 31st 2010, with the main show opening its doors on October 28th.
When the fully fledged expo kicks off, the organisers have promised that people staying in Kuala Lumpur hotels will have the chance to cast their eyes over works from a number of leading galleries.
In total, 2,000 pieces of "great artwork" will be on display at Kuala Lumpur's Trade and Exhibition Centre, with a selection of these likely to feature in the preview exhibition.
More than 60 internationally acclaimed art spaces from 20 different countries have contributed pieces for the final show, with works including sculptures, paintings, digital art, photography and installations all set to be displayed.
Speaking in promotion of last year's expo, the organisers explained that the event is "not only to see art, but [to] be a part of the whole art experience" and is designed to ensure that visitors have fun exploring the show.
They went on to describe it as the best known international art exhibition in the whole country.
