Frequently compared to more established artists such as Usher and Justin Timberlake, Derulo's arrival on the scene was recently confirmed by two nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Miami-born singer is in contention for best new artist at next month's ceremony, while In My Head has been nominated in the best male video category.

Derulo's Munich performance is due to get underway at 20:30 local time and tickets are now available online, with prices starting at EUR26.65 (GBP22).

The Muffathalle is one of the Bavarian capital's top venues for live music and also offers several popular club nights, including Rave Universe, the Starmelt Club and the Jalla World Music Club.

For those who cannot make it to Munich, Derulo has scheduled several other dates in Germany next month. He is due to play in Hamburg on September 15th before heading on to Berlin and Cologne.
