PARIS, FRANCE, August 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Many alternative music fans are likely to book Paris hotels for next month's Fever Ray concert.
Taking place on Thursday September 9th, the event will give people staying in the French capital a chance to see cult Swedish singer Karin Dreijer Andersson perform live.
Best known as one half of acclaimed electronic duo The Knife, Andersson took on the name Fever Ray for her solo project, which she launched with a self-titled album in 2009.
Singles such as If I Had a Heart and When I Grow Up are expected to feature in the set.
The Paris concert was originally due to take place at La Cigale, but was upgraded to a larger venue - the Olympia - earlier this year due to the strong demand for tickets.
Andersson is playing several shows across Europe in September, including appearances at the Berlin Festival and Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
However, the Paris concert should appeal to many fans, as the Olympia is one of the city's most famous venues.
Located in the ninth arrondissement, it is the oldest music hall in Paris and has previously staged performances by the legendary Edith Piaf and Jeff Buckley.
Tickets for the Fever Ray gig are available online, currently priced at EUR23 (GBP18.80).
For more information on this event, visit the Olympia website or contact the venue on (+33) 8 92 68 33 68.
