NORFOLK, ENGLAND, August 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Holidaymakers seeking a real taste of country living during their stay in Norfolk hotels may like to visit next month's Sandringham Game and Country Show.
One of the most prestigious events of its kind, the fair offers two arenas featuring gundog displays, falconry demonstrations, equestrian performances, a craft village and much more.
This year's show takes place on September 11th and 12th, with the organisers aiming to further develop the game element of the event.
Bill Meldrum, a former royal keeper at Sandringham, will be running the Gundog Retriever Test and Scurry, which showcases the skills and endurance of the more experienced animals.
Other popular attractions include the Falconry Village, where resident falconer Andy Cook is set to please the crowds with demonstrations involving Harris hawks and ferrets.
For those feeling peckish, the Food Glorious Food area is set to showcase the finest regional produce, alongside game cookery demonstrations from leading chefs such as Tony Robertson and Rob Marles.
Visitors also have a good chance of spotting a member of the royal family, as Sandringham House remains one of the Queen's favoured holiday destinations.
Adult tickets for the show are currently priced at GBP9, while children will be admitted for GBP4.
For more information on this event, visit the Sandringham Game and Country Show website or contact the organisers on 01283 820 548.
