SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, August 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hit musical Wicked will finish its mammoth run at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney towards the end of next month.
The Broadway show opened in the capital of New South Wales almost a year ago, during which time it has been seen by more than half a million people, including a host of celebrities such as former Australia cricket star Glenn McGrath and his family.
Life Is A Rollercoaster singer and former Boyzone member Ronan Keating also recently watched the show, before going backstage to meet the cast.
The musical charts the lives of two friends who meet in Oz and go on to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Despite the continued popularity of Wicked, the current run must come to an end on September 26th 2010. A surge in demand for some of the last minute accommodation Sydney has available is expected in the build-up to the final performance.
Although this date is still a month away, tickets have already been released, so avid theatregoers who are keen to attend should book their seats as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
The curtain-closing show gets underway at 15:00 local time, with tickets currently available for between A$105.90 and A$115.90.
