NAUVOO, IL, September 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Glacial Energy enters into agreement with city council to supply the city's electricity - The Nauvoo city council recently approved entering into an agreement with Glacial Energy to buy the city's electricity on a month-to-month basis.
Nauvoo is a small charming city of over 1,000 people located in Western Illinois on the bank of the Mississippi River. While the electricity will still be delivered by AmerenCIPS, the local utility company, the city entered into the month-to-month agreement where Glacial Energy supplies its electricity with no contract and no hidden fees. The council reached its decision after a 12 month historical analysis was performed by Glacial Energy on its electricity bills. The analysis showed the city would have saved over $6,000 the previous year had it used Glacial Energy as its supplier. If the city does not save money or is dissatisfied for any reason, they can cancel the agreement at no cost.
