COTSWOLD, ENGLAND, September 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A large number of classical music fans are likely to make Cotswold hotel enquiries before heading to Tetbury later this month.
The eighth Tetbury Music Festival is set to run from Thursday September 30th to Sunday October 3rd and a number of special concerts have been arranged to mark the occasion.
Beginning with a performance from the Brodsky Quartet on Thursday night, the programme also includes virtuoso American pianist Jonathan Biss, British soprano Elizabeth Watts and Roger Vignoles, the festival's artist in residence.
Vignoles, one of the world's top piano accompanists, will join the Brodsky Quartet for their recital and appear alongside clarinet player Julian Bliss on Saturday evening.
This concert, which will also feature Antoine Tamestit on viola, is set to be recorded by the BBC for a Radio 3 programme.
Watts is due to perform on Friday night, when she will be singing pieces by Robert Schumann and Franz Schubert alongside tenor Mark Padmore.
As well as the musical entertainment, a special art exhibition will be running in Tetbury throughout the festival, featuring watercolours by Vignoles and other works.
Tickets for the concerts are priced between GBP7 and GBP22, while children under the age of 16 can attend for free if accompanied by an adult.
