Chris Horner to Host Clark's Corner Cycling Challenge

    SACRAMENTO, CA, September 14, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clark's Corner is announcing Clark's Corner Cycling Challenge, taking place Saturday September 18th. The event will feature USA cycling champion Chris Horner as well as a chance to win a brand new Cannondale SuperSix 3 road bike (Retail Value: $2,999.99). Clark's Corner encourages Sacramento cycling enthusiasts to "[not] miss your chance to meet and ride with one of the world's premiere cyclists."

Clark's Corner invites Sacramento cycling enthusiasts to register for their September 18th Cycling Challenge. The Cycling Challenge is a non-competitive Sacramento bicycling event that challenges cyclists (along with their team, friends, or families) to pedal their way to Clark's Corner on Ione's Main Street. At 11am, cyclists can join Chris Horner on a 10-mile loop group ride around Ione. The Clark's Corner Cycling Challenge offers three registration choices starting at $30 for the 10-mile loop ride with Chris Horner, $50 for a t-shirt package (which includes an event t-shirt, ride with Chris Horner, choice of lunch, and photo), and $100 for a jersey package (which includes event jersey, ride with Chris Horner, choice of lunch, and photo).

All registrants will be entered into a prize drawing for a brand new Cannondale SuperSix 3 road bike. The bike is retailed at $2,999.99 and comes with Shimano Ultegra gears and carbon FSA cranks. Ride-only registrants will receive 3 raffle tickets, t-shirt registrants will receive 5 raffle tickets, and jersey registrants will receive 10 raffle tickets. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at the event for $10 a ticket.

T-shirt and jersey registrants will also receive lunch (a choice tri-tip, turkey, or veggie sandwich; bottled water; chips; and a cookie), a Clark's Corner coupon (offering 10% off of any store purchase), a photo taken of them at the Finisher's podium, and free valet bicycle parking. Live music, cycling vendors, and a wine tasting event are also included.

Aside from the event there will be a variety of fun activities for Sacramento cycling enthusiasts occurring in and around Clark's Corner including a BBQ, nearby park, ice cream, and more.

Please note that at this Sacramento bicycling event there will be no aid stations set up during the event so all Sacramento cycling enthusiasts are encouraged to carry food and water on their person along with any necessary repair tools.
