BARCELONA, SPAIN, September 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bookworms have a treat in store for them if they are heading to Barcelona in October, as the annual Kosmopolis literature festival is due to take place.
Guests staying at the cheap hotels Barcelona has to offer between October 23rd and 24th can head to the Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (CCCB) for a series of fascinating lectures and workshops relating to the world of books.
On the first day, there will be an impressive range of topics covered, such as children's literature, intellectual property, ebooks, minority languages and culture.
Included in this programme of events will be a talk by Lawrence Lessig in the evening, while an exhibition entitled Small Publishers, Great Books will be available to view on both days, between 11:00 and 20:00 local time.
Describing the display, the organisers said it is "a round of applause to the individuals, communities, entrepreneurs, people with opinions and those who are committed, who share the need to express themselves and who unwaveringly stand up to adversity".
It will showcase several publications which have been made with few resources or in difficult circumstances.
Prices and start times of workshops vary depending on which activity people intend to take part in.
Attendees can get to the CCCB by taking the Metro to Catalunya or Universitat stations.
For more information on this event visit the Kosmopolis website or contact the venue on +34 93 306 4100.
