The app and website compare rates and help users decide when and where to buy your foreign exchange. So, in addition to providing travellers with great cheap holidays, Thomas Cook is helping them make it quicker and easier to get a good exchange rate.

The app is free to download for the first 25,000 users from the iPhone App Store or Android Market (search for "What's The Rate"). Designed to save time and hassle, the app and website make it quick and easy to compare selected exchange rates offered at other popular high street foreign exchange providers to be sure of getting the best deal.

The app and website offer the option to reserve currency, prepaid currency cards and travellers cheques at exclusive pre-order rates, guaranteed for two working days. Users can view exchange rate trends for the past 14 days to see how currencies have been performing and help them decide when it is the best time to buy. They can even set up their own personal RateWatch for their chosen currency, and receive an automatic email alert if the exchange rate hits the upper or lower limit they've pre-selected.
