BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, September 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The prospect of a blistering live show from US blues rock duo The Black Keys could prompt fans to book Bournemouth hotels later this year.
Due to perform at the south coast resort's O2 Academy on Sunday November 7th, the band recently garnered rave reviews for their sixth studio album Brothers.
With support coming courtesy of cult New York band The Walkmen, the gig looks set to attract devotees of alternative rock from far and wide.
The Black Keys formed in Ohio in 2001, releasing debut album The Big Come Up the following year.
Praised by critics for their stripped-back blues sound and on-stage energy, the duo of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach have worked with famed producer Danger Mouse on more recent releases.
Last year, they took a departure from their normal sound with Blackroc, an album of collaborations with hip-hop artists such as Ludacris, Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA and Pharoahe Monch.
Released in May this year, Brothers was described by the Sunday Times as a "stonking 15-track dash through terrain that takes in boogie, soul, funk, gospel and, of course, the blues".
Tickets for the group's Bournemouth show are available online for GBP16 plus booking fee.
For more information on this event, visit the O2 Academy Bournemouth website or contact the venue on 0844 477 2000.
