SIOUX CITY, IA, September 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sabre Communications Corporation announced today that they have been awarded a subcontract for performance under the DHS/CBP Tactical Communications Modernization (TCM) Program. DHS/CBP announced on July 11, 2010, that the 2-year period of performance (8a competitive) prime contract was awarded to Northwind Engineering, LLC, Sabre's prime 8a business partner.
The prime TCM contract will provide material and supply chain management support to the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection for the Houlton Sector located in Maine. The prime firm-fixed price (FFP) contract was awarded at $7.2M. Northwind Engineering has subcontracted Sabre to design, fabricate and deliver 47 towers, 38 communication shelters and other infrastructure equipment as needed to the Houlton Sector.
