MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, September 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Women who fancy a challenge during their time on the Gold Coast can push their bodies to the limit and raise money for a good cause by taking part in Triathlon Pink.
The event, which is coming to the Gold Coast on October 24th 2010, having already been held on the Sunshine Coast and in Sydney, has been organised to generate funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Entrants staying in Gold Coast accommodation should not worry about finishing in the fastest possible time, as the occasion is more about challenging oneself and, most importantly, having fun.
Participants can choose to tackle the whole course single-handedly, or compete as part of a team, in which case they can each take part in one of the legs in similar style to a relay race.
More than 10,000 people have crossed the finish line since Triathlon Pink was first held in 2007, during which time more than A$250,000 has been raised for charity.
With this level of interest in the event, women who are keen to have a go would be wise to book local accommodation - such as Surfers Paradise hotels - as soon as possible.
The contest kicks off at 09:00 local time at the Runaway Bay Super Centre.
Registration must be completed online to enter, with places costing A$57.50 for adults and A$110 for teams.
For more information on this event, visit the Triathlon Pink website or contact the organisers on (+61) 3 6223 4889.
