YAKIMAYO Co. Ltd. Purchases Third-Ranked Stockwave (Thailand Securities Newspaper) from Bangkokstation Network Co .Ltd; Opened Business October 1st

    TOKYO, JAPAN, October 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- YAKIMAYO Co. Ltd announced it has agreed to be the successor company for the acquisition of third-ranked Thailand Securities Newspaper stockwave (headquarters: Toyoshima-ku, Tokyo President Kichitaka Tanaka) on October 1, 2010, from Bangkokstation Network Company Limited (headquarters: Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand CEO Kotaro Maru).

Stockwave is a securities newspaper established in August 2001 in its ninth year of publication. Successfully leading the industry in the race to go online, stockwave distributes news to Thailand's largest Internet portal sanook.com, and to settrade.com, which is operated by Set Trade Co., Ltd. and owned by The Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Bangkokstation Network Company Limited was involved in operations and was also publishing BUSINESS WEEK THAILAND (the Thai-language version of U.S. economic magazine BUSINESS WEEK), which boasts subscribership of 18,000 corporate executives from listed companies, affiliates of government agencies and investors.

Future Directions

YAKIMAYO Co. Ltd. now has a hand in Thailand News Agency, which delivers a Japanese-language version of Thai economic news.

The acquisition of stockwave will do much to improve the quality and amount of Thailand News Agency's news, and enable communication and delivery of investment information and business information between Thailand and Japan. While there is still not enough information about Japan supplied to Thailand's wealthy and investors, because demand is high, the company will deliver information about indirect and direct investment, real estate investment, etc. Stockwave's 18,000 subscribers also mean a lot to the panel research company scheduled to open in Thailand at the beginning of next year. Since many stockwave users have relatively large disposable incomes, there are plans to aggressively pursue those inbound to Japan.
