FALMOUTH, ENGLAND, October 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The ninth annual Cornwall Film Festival is set to bring hordes of movie-makers and film buffs to Falmouth next month.
Holidaymakers may find that their stay in one of the luxury hotels Cornwall has to offer coincides with the event, which will run from Friday November 5th to Sunday November 7th at the Phoenix Cinema.
The full programme is set to be unveiled by festival director Donna Anton next week, but the organisers have already released enough details to get local film lovers excited.
Several south-west premieres of new movies are scheduled to take place during the festival, including debut showings of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest and Mike Leigh's latest film Another Year.
Meanwhile, Posy Simmonds, the writer and illustrator whose Tamara Drewe comic strip was recently adapted into the box-office hit starring Gemma Arterton, will appear at a screening of the movie.
The organisers have also promised festival-goers three "extraordinary" new documentary films and the first-ever Cornish language musical.
Festival passes will be available from October 11th and tickets for individual events go on sale from October 20th.
The festival is also offering people the chance to receive a GBP35 pass for free by volunteering to help behind the scenes over the weekend.
