MUNICH, GERMANY, October 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Badly Drawn Boy can celebrate his recent return to the music scene by attending a concert in Munich next month.
The Manchester-based artist released his new album It's What I'm Thinking Part 1 - Photographing Snowflakes this week and is set to embark on a European tour in November.
Following a string of gigs in Italy, the singer-songwriter - real name Damon Gough - will arrive in Munich on November 15th.
He is due to perform at the Bavarian capital's Backstage Halle venue, with tickets available online for EUR29.45 (GBP25.80).
Gough's new record is his first proper studio album since Born in the UK, which was released in 2006.
Featuring the single Too Many Miracles, his latest LP was released on the singer-songwriter's own label One Last Fruit and has been praised by critics.
NME described it as "the most focused and mature record of his career" and noted the "lovely autumnal feel" of many of the tracks.
Fans staying in Munich hotels for Badly Drawn Boy's concert, which will get underway at 20:00 local time, can expect to hear plenty of songs from the new album, as well as some older material.
His debut album The Hour of Bewilderbeast won the Mercury Prize in 2000 and spawned hits such as Once Around the Block and Disillusion.
For many people, Gough's soundtrack for the 2002 film About a Boy cemented his reputation as one of the UK's finest songwriters.
The album included songs such as Silent Sigh and Something to Talk About, while the movie was critically praised and became a box-office success.
Gough has attracted headlines for his unpredictable live performances in the past, so people heading out in Munich for the gig can expect a memorable and entertaining evening.
