PERTH, AUSTRALIA, October 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Non-profit organisation Equal Health is organising a Bollywood Beach Party in North Fremantle to help people in some of the poorest parts of the world.
The fundraising event, which is set to take place at the Salt on the Beach Bar on November 12th 2010, will help to finance the provision of free multidisciplinary healthcare in developing nations.
All proceeds will be invested in dental, medical, optical and other health appointments in India in 2011, the organisers have pledged.
While it has a serious message at its heart, partygoers staying in some of the cheap hotels Perth has available can be assured that plenty of entertainment will be laid on.
DJ Bishen Singh from Banghrology will be on hand to provide the soundtrack to the night, with attendees being encouraged to dress in saris and other authentic Indian attire.
Furthermore, South African-Indian funnyman Pradesh Ramiah - otherwise known as Desh - will be sure to keep the audience laughing with his unique brand of comedy.
Described by management company Left of Centertainment as a "seasoned and spiced stand-up comedian", Desh has played to a capacity crowd at Sydney's Olympic Stadium during the State of Origin in the past.
Tickets for the occasion are priced at A$125 per person, including three hours of canapes and drinks, with the party set to kick off at 19:00 local time.
For more information on this event, visit the Equal Health website or contact the organisers on (+61) 8 9221 4799.
