He received his Ph.D. in development studies, specializing in entrepreneurship and small business in 1997 from the University of Wales, Swansea in the United Kingdom; his master of business administration in 1989 from the University of Jos in Nigeria, and his bachelor's degree in economics and business in 1983 from Manchester College, Indiana. He also holds a certification in New Testament Survey from the Church of the Brethren Mission. He currently serves as a deputy chairman of the United States chapter of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and is a member of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the International Council for Small Business. In five years, Dr. Mambula hopes to be published in business and entrepreneurial journals related to the oil, gas and energy industry.
