BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, October 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Three great artistic works have been given the name Kreutzer and all will be presented together for the first time on a tour that is due to call at Brisbane next month.
A Beethoven sonata, a psychological drama from Tolstoy and a string quartet piece by Janacek all share the name and are the influence behind Kreutzer vs Kreutzer.
Described by the event organisers as part theatre and part music, this show - written by Laura Wade with music by Richard Tognetti - will call at the QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane on November 22nd 2010.
Wade and Tognetti will no doubt have looked to replicate the passion, intrigue and sexual jealousy that are a common theme of the three works.
Cheap hotels Brisbane guests may be aware that Beethoven shared a love interest with the first violinist ever to perform Kreutzer, resulting in the two of them coming to blows, while Janacek was having an affair while he wrote his adaptation.
The music of the two composers will be performed by Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.
Guests at one of the 5 star hotels Brisbane has available can get hold of tickets for this unique show for between A$35 and A$88, with the performance scheduled to get underway at 20:00 local time.
