DUSSELDORF, GERMANY, October 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People with Dusseldorf hotel bookings will have a chance to see Scottish singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald live in concert next month.
The musician, who was just 19 when she released her debut album This Is the Life in 2007, is due to perform at the Germany city's Philipshalle venue on Monday November 15th.
Macdonald recently played with the German Philharmonic Orchestra at a concert in Luxembourg and has gone from strength to strength since returning to the spotlight with her second LP A Curious Thing earlier this year.
Released in March, the record reached number one in the German album chart and peaked at number four in the UK.
It features the singles Don't Tell Me That It's Over, Spark and This Pretty Face - songs that are all likely to feature in Macdonald's set when she takes to the stage in Dusseldorf.
Despite her considerable chart success, the 23-year-old has said she gains the most satisfaction from playing her songs live.
"I just love performing and I'm so glad that I've established the live side of things," she revealed in comments on her official website.
"That's what I remember from when I was younger: after I loved a CD I'd be like, 'right, now I want to see this band live'. And now I can't believe that I'm able to play festivals and clubs all over the world."
Fans wishing to experience Macdonald's live show can purchase a ticket to attend her Dusseldorf concert for EUR40.50 (GBP35.40).
As well as the hits from her latest record, she is expected to play a string of favourites from This Is the Life, including Poison Prince, Mr Rock & Roll and LA.
The album reached number one in the UK in January 2008, knocking Radiohead's In Rainbows off the top spot.
