LONDON, ENGLAND, October 22, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Maureen Lipman may want to get down to London's Garrick Theatre over the next few months to see her perform in When We Are Married.
Running until February 26th 2011, the production shows the Agony, Skins and The Pianist actress at her best.
But she is not the only talented thespian the company boasts, with Lynda Baron, David Horovitch and Roy Hudd also set to entertain guests at Kensington hotels in this classic British comedy.
Written by JB Priestley, the story sees three well-to-do couples try to keep a secret safe while a journalist sniffs around looking for a headline.
The fact they are trying to hide is that the vicar who married the three sets of partners 25 years previously did not have a licence, so their marriages are technically invalid.
Lipman and company show just how good they are at highlighting absurdities and hypocrisies with their stunning performances, as well as proving they all have great comic timing.
The organisers remarked: "As the home truths fly like confetti and conjugal rites turn to farcical fights, an evening of sparkling comic mayhem erupts."
Tickets are available to tourists at accommodation such as Rydges Kensington Plaza Hotel London for between GBP19.50 and GBP65.
Start times vary depending on the day.
