Background:
Liberty Mutual Invitational is a local amateur charity golf tournament series featuring 73 events across the U.S. in 2010 that are expected to raise in excess of $5 million to support national and local charities. Participating teams must consist of four amateur players whose combined USGA Handicap Index totals 43.0 strokes or more. Only one member of a team may have a USGA Handicap Index of 8.0 or less. Liberty Mutual entered into a three-year agreement in 2009 with Fortune Marketing Unlimited, Inc., the creator and manager of the amateur tournament series since 1988, to help manage the Liberty Mutual Invitational program on its behalf. The tournament series was formerly known as the Cadillac Invitational, a sponsorship that Cadillac, a division of General Motors, ended in 2009 after 19 years. Liberty Mutual is also the title sponsor of the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, a 31-year relationship the company has had with this official event on the PGA Tour's Champions Tour. The 2010 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf, played April 23rd - 25th, in Savannah, Georgia, was won by the team of Mark O'Meara and Nick Price.
Background: Forgotten Angels is a local non-profit that provides exceptional care and support to adults and children with special needs including mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida and other developmental and physical disabilities.
