SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, October 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Movie buffs are set to flock to the last minute accommodation Sydney has available in order to enjoy next month's Japanese Film Festival.
The event is set to run between November 22nd and 28th 2010 at Event Cinemas George Street, with the organisers having put together a varied bill showcasing some of the best new productions from the far eastern country.
This year's edition will kick off with a screening of Yoji Yamada's About Her Brother, a bittersweet comedy focusing on the relationship between brother and sister Tetsuro - a failed comic - and Ginko.
When Ginko finally tires of her sibling's inappropriate, embarrassing and loud nature she disowns him, but the two reunite when she learns of Tetsuro's terminal illness.
His impending death helps Ginko to once more learn how to tolerate and love Tetsuro, with the organisers claiming the film shows there is "hope for any brother-sister relationship".
The screening is set to get underway at 19:30 local time and runs for just over two hours, with tickets only available from the venue's box office for A$15.
Passes for all the other shows - excluding the closing night - can be purchased online for the same price, with five-film passes available for A$60.
For more information on this event, visit the Japanese Film Festival website or contact the organisers on (+61) 2 8239 0055.
