The TV funnyman is due to perform at the Sands Centre in Carlisle on Thursday November 25th, when his trademark combination of observational humour and surreal wit is set to delight the audience.

Anyone who has been amused by the comic in his role as a team captain on the Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats, as well as his various appearances on QI and Have I Got News for You, should look forward to the live experience.

Reviewing a recent performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, the Guardian's Brian Logan said Lock displayed "the confidence of a comic in peak form".

The critic added: "Lock's signature mix of absurdism and everyday observation gets more effective with each new show."

Born in Woking, Lock previously worked as a script editor for Bill Bailey and has hosted his own Channel 4 series, TV Heaven, Telly Hell.

Tickets for Lockipedia at the Sands Centre are priced at GBP18.50 and the show will run between 20:00 and 22:00 GMT.
