TENBY, WALES, October 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A forthcoming performance from the Chris Hodgkins Quartet should appeal to jazz music fans spending time in Tenby.
On Wednesday November 10th, the Cardiff-raised trumpeter and his ensemble are due to play at the Dingle Club in nearby Narberth.
The performance is one of five dates Hodgkins has scheduled in Wales next month and will feature "a mainstream menu of classics and his own songs", according to organiser Span Arts.
Tickets are priced at GBP8 and people staying in one of the many hotels Tenby has to offer should get to the Dingle Club before 20:00 GMT to see the quartet arrive on stage.
Hodgkins will be joined at the Pembrokeshire venue by Alison Rayner on double bass, guitarist Max Brittain and Diana McLoughlin on alto saxophone.
Now based in London, the band leader has toured all over the UK and Europe throughout his distinguished career.
Having co-founded the Welsh Jazz Festival in 1974 among his many other achievements, Hodgkins was honoured for services to jazz at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2002.
Narberth is situated about ten miles north of Tenby and is known for its annual food festival.
