PHUKET, THAILAND, November 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Although a number of Christmas activities have taken place in the city on previous years this is the first time a major festival on a scale of this size has been produced in the area.
Commencing on 1st December and running through to 3rd January 2011, the 1st Busan Christmas Festival will feature a number of traditional and modern festivities over the course of the event.
The displays will centre around the Gwangbokno and Yeongdo Kosin universities with the streets lined with beautiful decorations. Gwangbok-dong Street in particular will feature a 500m section decorated with colourful lights and a selection of nativity scenes at various points along the way.
Throughout the event visitors can see all kinds of Christmas activities such as carol singing and the University Song Festival from 20th to 27th December where people will be coming together to share the spirit of Christmas by sharing food and rice.
As an increased number of visitors are expected for the occasion, finding available hotels in Busan may be more difficult compared with other times of the year.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The festival is sure to attract more visitors to the city who will want to see all of the new events. Anyone planning on travelling to Busan should therefore make hotel arrangements as far in advance as possible in order to find the best deals."
