BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, November 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gorillaz will be bringing their unique blend of hip-hop, indie, dance and dub to Brisbane next month.
The band, which was created in 1998 by Blur frontman Damon Albarn and cartoonist Jamie Hewlett, will be playing to thousands at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on December 19th 2010 as part of the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour.
Fans of the animated group will no doubt be hoping to see each of the members - 2-D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel Hobbs - recreated on-stage, with their parts being played by real-life stars including Albarn, Paul Simonon and Mick Jones.
Commenting on the video animation, artwork and film that accompany their live shows, Murdoc has promised people "a phantasmagoria of sounds, colours and assaults on the senses".
Ticketholders can expect to hear material from latest release Plastic Beach, such as the singles Stylo and Superfast Jellyfish, while they may also be hoping classic tracks such as Clint Eastwood and Dirty Harry are given an airing.
With the gig fast approaching, anyone keen to attend would be wise to book their passes and Brisbane CBD hotels sooner rather than later.
Seats at the Entertainment Centre are available for A$99.90, with standing places costing A$119.90. Doors will open at 19:30 local time on the night.
