MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, November 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The 2010-11 ISAF Sailing World Cup will be coming to Victoria next month for Sail Melbourne.
Sandringham Yacht Club will be the hub of the event, which is due to take place between December 12th and 18th and is billed by the organisers as an opportunity for people to engage with "world-class Olympic sailing".
Some of the most talented sportsmen on the planet will be competing at the spectacle, which is the opening race in the Sailing World Cup's 2010-11 season.
However, accommodation Melbourne CBD guests keen to check out the event have much more to look forward to than the racing action, as the organisers have also created a packed on-shore entertainment program.
The official opening of the competition will take place on Tuesday December 14th with a World Cup dinner, featuring guest speakers from the sailing world, a drinks reception and a three-course meal.
Tickets are priced at A$110 per person, with guests expected to arrive at the yacht club at 19:00 local time for a 19:30 start.
Wednesday 15th at the venue has been decreed Ladies Day, which could persuade women staying in one of the cheap hotels Melbourne offers to head down to the venue for a spot of pampering.
Corporate Day and Family Day will be held on Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th respectively.
