LONDON, ENGLAND, November 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leading entertainment retailer HMV has revealed the DVDs and video games that will be filling the most Christmas stockings this year based on early sales predictions and pre-order figures.
Top-selling DVDs
The latest film in the Toy Story series is expected to be the most opened and watched DVD this Christmas. The popularity of the second Sex and the City movie is also translating into strong DVD sales and the animated comedy series Shrek starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz always sells well at Christmas time and is scheduled for release just in time for the Christmas shopping rush.

Last weeks monumental release of the latest Call of Duty game entitled Black Ops sets the stage for a highly competitive Christmas games chart with big releases every week in the run up to Christmas. Call of Duty is likely to lead up to Christmas and there's also a lot of excitement in the gaming community around the new Assassin's Creed game, Brotherhood. Racing game Gran Turismo, due for release next week, is also a consistent best seller and expected to make the top 3.
