CSA 2010 and Compliance Safety Systems, What You're Not Being Told About CSA 2010

    MIDLOTHIAN, TX, November 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As I, David Saunders, have been serving on the ATA CSA 2010 Task Force Committee, I have come across a reoccurring issue that has me troubled.

Facts show Motor Carrier industry leads FMCSA by a score of "60" to "Zero" and the Public Citizens are in disbelief as the watch these scores unfold.

Ordinarily in sports the higher the score, the more you are winning, but with CSA, the higher the score, the more you are losing, and no one likes a losing team, especially the fans, known as the public.

As I continue to almost read daily in any given press release or article about "This Scorecard and that Scorecard", I glaze in amazement that no one is talking about the unintended consequences that comes with those Scorecards.

Make no mistake, I get the same request in my services for a "Scorecard" so the market is reacting to what they believe is essential to survive or adhere to the needs to comply with CSA 2010.

In reality, there isn't any such thing as "CSA Compliant", since there are no "standards" by which a court, shipper, or consumer has agreed to accept, not to mention the very agency that is enacting the program.

So when the dust settles, how much money and time will have been spent investing in those IT programs, when it could have been spent fixing equipment and training drivers......or so a Plaintiff attorney is certain to ask a juror panel of 12, or a shipper who is needing their freight hauled with a safe carrier?

We are always drilled by attorneys and HR professionals, to be careful what Policies you have in place. If you have one, you better be using it consistently.

So at what point will "Scorecards Dictate Policies" that will not be able to ever fully accomplish its original intent and begin to react in a negative fashion instead of a positive one, I'll expand on this later in another release.
