PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC, November 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Travellers who are yet to enjoy the Beatlemania! exhibition still have time to book Prague hotels and visit the Czech Museum of Music.
The display, which opened in June this year, features a large collection of Beatles artefacts and memorabilia loaned from museums, collectors and private owners around the world.
It has been described as a must-visit attraction for devotees of the Fab Four and can be seen in the Czech capital until January 10th 2011.
One of the most interesting aspects of the exhibition is its emphasis on visitor interaction, with fans invited to try producing their own versions of classic Beatles songs in the museum's recording studio.
Beatlemania! is also designed to explore the influence exerted by Liverpool's pop megastars on young Czechs growing up during the 1960s.
For this reason, local people were asked to bring their own memorabilia to contribute to the exhibition.
Speaking to Radio Praha earlier this year, curator Dagmar Fialova explained how the museum received a surprisingly enthusiastic response to this request.
"We didn't expect so much. Basically the exhibition is based on many of these items that people brought to the museum," she said.
The opening times of the Czech Museum of Music vary according to the day of the week, although the building is closed on Tuesdays. Admission is priced at 120 Czech koruna (GBP4.10).
