Manhattan's First Professional Golf Tournament Goes "USA"

The Manhattan Golf Classic took a major national leap forward with the signing of USA TODAY as the National Print Media of the Manhattan Golf Classic.



    /24-7PressRelease/ - NEW YORK, NY, September 22, 2006 - The Manhattan Golf Classic (www.manhattangolfclassic.com) took a major national leap forward today with the signing of one of the most prestigious newspapers in the country, USA TODAY.

USA Today (www.usatoday.com) and event management group ArenaCorp Holdings (www.thearenacorp.com) announced this partnership for the first ever professional golf tournament in the history of New York City which will be staged this Fall on historic Governors Island.

Assuming the designation of Official National Print Media Partner of the Manhattan Golf Classic, USA TODAY will provide readers across the country unique tournament information as well as valuable discounts on admission and Champions VIP passes through advertising in regional and national issues.

The event will take place October 22, 2006, and features Legendary Golfer Tom Watson and Mr. New York Donald Trump teeing off against World #1 Annika Sorenstam and LPGA Sensation Natalie Gulbis in a veritable battle of the sexes Skins Game.
