CHICAGO, IL, December 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Prediction is very difficult, especially if it's about the future," said physicist Neils Bohr. Nevertheless, at New Year's time it's fun to prognosticate upon the coming year's happenings, and one person in particular, mentalist/futurist/"psychic" SIDNEY FRIEDMAN (aka SidneySeer), has had a remarkable documented track record of prediction over the last 13 years with a consistent accuracy near 70% with stated predictions on TV shows like THE VIEW, the TODAY SHOW and THE EARLY SHOW. Of note, his Oscar predictions have been nearly 100% and his stock market predictions have been right on target.
This year is no exception. In a few days, SIDNEY FRIEDMAN will release his 2011 visions of the economy, world events, the weather, the Oscars, and even predictions to satisfy celebrity curiosity.
Here's why Sidney Friedman is a fun, timely guest on your TV or radio show, or great subject for your print or online story.
WHO:
As featured on programs like the TODAY SHOW, the EARLY SHOW and THE VIEW, mentalist/futurist/speaker/ "psychic"/entertainer Sidney Friedman is the author of the best-selling book YOUR MIND KNOWS MORE THAN YOU DO, is a speaker at corporate events with a presentation called THE MIND POWER SHOW, and is the creator of FRIEDMAN's FORECAST which makes an art out of peering into the future. See more at: http://www.SidneyFriedman.com
HISTORY:
In 1999, on CBS-2 NEWS Chicago, he predicted the landing point of Hurricane Floyd. In 2002 on that same station and others, he predicted Steve Fossett's successful first-time-ever circumnavigation of the globe in a balloon.
In 2000, on ABC-TV's THE VIEW he foresaw Martha Stewart's legal troubles. In 2005, he stated on FOX NEWS CHICAGO that the Mississippi River would significantly change course, and amazingly this was accurate as a result of Hurricane Katrina and the broken levees.
Pre-primary-elections, in December 2007, against all odds and punditry, he predicted Barack Obama would become the next president of the United States.
Plus, over 12 years, Friedman has missed on only one OSCAR prediction, and of course, once again, last year, all of his OSCAR predictions were correct. And impressively, they are predictions made a month before the nominations are even announced.
Two years ago on the TODAY SHOW on New Year's Eve, Friedman made 5 on-air predictions, all of which occurred. Plus, his economic and stock market forecast was right on the money, and once again last year, on CBS-TV's THE EARLY SHOW, he got 5 of 7 predictions correct.
WHAT:
In a few days, Friedman will release his FRIEDMAN'S FORECAST for 2011. Friedman says, "And they will be poetic and accurate, I predict."
PREVIEW:
As a preview, Friedman is stating that Colin Firth wins an Oscar, his first (or 'firth') ever. Also, a photo will surface showing Justin Bieber kissing and groping with two women. One of the women is much older. And more seriously, the unemployment rate will significantly drop in the early part of 2011 (probably by March), the first-ever such drop since the economic collapse of 2008.
WHEN:
FRIEDMAN's FORECAST is a fun, inspiring, topical TV, radio or print interview/story for end of December or early January.
WHY:
With a precarious economic climate, and an uncertain future, public fascination with what tomorrow will bring may be at its highest in years. With his track-record of accuracy, Friedman is a valuable resource for topics of perusing the coming year.
SIDNEY SAYS:
"I'm not someone who knows all and sees all, but I can foresee part of what's coming, a few hints of what's ahead for the theater of tomorrow. Call me a SEMI-SEER, and I do this for fun, for and to show the possibilities of intuition."
Friedman began publicly stating his forecast in 1996, and in total he has been 69% accurate, and often as high as 78%. His biggest failure is that each and every year he also comically predicts the Chicago Cubs will make it to the World Series. "That's my desire speaking," says Friedman, "not my my brain."
More intuitively accurate than his annual CUBS prediction, in 2008, the tally had Friedman hitting on 20-plus out of 30 predictions for a 68% accuracy. Some of them included the Obama prognostication, oil prices dropping 20% from the year's opening of $99 a barrel, a gun incident surrounding Britney Spears, actors boycotting the Golden Globes, wild fluctuations in the stock market, and 3 out of 4 Oscar predictions correct. (This was his first miss ever in Oscar predictions.)
For 2009, he was also at 68%, with an accurate stock market forecast and complete accuracy on the Oscars.
And with a few weeks left for 2010, he is at 69%, again with an accurate stock market forecast and complete accuracy on the Oscars, but he missed totally on his prediction regarding Obama's approval rating.

Ironically, here's what Friedman says about the art of predicting: "Most of the future is UNPREDICTABLE. That is as it should be. In fact, no one knows PRECISELY what will occur. If we know exactly what will happen, the present would be pointless. Also, to a large extent, we make the future.
"The future is a combination of our actions combined with chance and fate. All three are at play. The wondrous thing is that if you simultaneously look back at the past while immersing in the present while at the same time feeling ahead to the future, the curtain will part ever-so-slightly on tomorrow's theater revealing a glimpse of what will occur.
"We all get these hunches to some degree. Through a variety of techniques (explained in my book), I attempt to interpret what many of these IMPRESSIONS truly mean."
