PHUKET, THAILAND, December 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The MMA has extended its usual open invitation to its own membership and interested medical professionals from overseas.
The 57th Myanmar Medical Conference will allow health care personnel to relate their experiences and share information about any new treatments or medicines that have been developed since the previous symposium. Foreign participants are expected to offer details about the current medical procedures in place in their own nations.
The MMA is the only officially recognised body of medical professionals in Myanmar. There are 8,000 members belonging to 80 countrywide branches, and these include experts working in specific fields. A fair proportion of the MMA membership is expected to attend and, coupled with the overseas participants, will inundate the Rangoon hotels.
Conference attendees from abroad interested in gaining an insight into Yangon's rich history can take advantage of the MMA links to local tour companies. Sites such as Shwedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda, St Mary's Cathedral, Inya Lake and Bogyoke Aung San Museum can be visited, while shoppers will enjoy Bogyoke Market's myriad offerings.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms said: "The annual MMA conference is a major draw for healthcare givers in Myanmar. The sheer volume of local participants draws attendees from abroad who wish to build contacts in the country. Visitors should check for hotel vacancies online before travelling to Yangon."
