Fraser Yachts Announce the Addition of M/Y Beluga to its Fleet of Luxury Charter Yachts

    ST TROPEZ, FRANCE, December 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fraser Yachts is pleased to announce the addition of M/Y Beluga to it fleet of luxury charter yachts. She will be available for yacht charter in the Mediterranean from early next summer and is being offered at a high-season rate of EUR89,000 per week and a low-season rate of EUR75,000 per week. She is able to accommodate 10 overnight guests in her 5 cabins and is served by a crew of 7.

Built in 2006 at the Moonen Shipyards in s-Hertogenbosch, Motor Yacht Beluga was conceived as a 'go anywhere' yacht capable of carrying its passengers to the most remote destinations and through the harshest possible conditions, while at the same time ensuring both their security and comfort. Despite measuring just 34.70m (113'10") Beluga offers an unusual amount of volume for her length and is in fact Moonen's largest displacement yacht to date.

Beluga's exterior design was conducted by the naval architect Rene van der Velden, who also took responsibility for her elegant interiors. She has been designed to offer the best features for both idyllic and extreme conditions and features a raised foredeck and high bulwarks to deflect green seas and spray. However she also features a range of attractive outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed while sailing in more favourable conditions including the sun-deck, which features a wet-bar and a hot-tub, as well as grand crow's nest that presents an ideal location for whale spotting.

M/Y Beluga's interiors have been designed with a contemporary Dutch-Scandinavian feel and make extensive use of cherry wood panelling combined with woven leather insets. Amongst her owner's favourite spaces on board is the octagonal bridge-deck sky-lounge, which connects to the enclosable (and heat-able) afterdeck. The owner's suite, which features an office and a large bathroom is located forward on the main-deck, while the remaining four double guest staterooms are located below and are separated from the crew's quarters by a structural bulkhead, which ensures maximum privacy.

Motor Yacht Beluga has been constructed to withstand even the harshest conditions and she has been built to survey by the Lloyd's Register with Ice-Class certification and MCA compliance. She features zero-speed stabilisers and a Hi-Fog system and during her official speed trials she exceeded her design-speed of 13.5 knots by half a knot, despite the presence of 45-knot winds and 3m waves! Furthermore she performed exceptionally well in beam seas, where her stabilisers kept her upright, and in head seas, where she pitched softly and comfortably making her the perfect choice for a luxury yacht charter in imperfect conditions.
