Valentine's Day Dinner, Feb. 12 and 14: Always a sell-out, couples enjoy a legendary romantic getaway at the Inn, including an elegant dinner. Couples will receive 25% off lodging on Feb. 14. Cost is $49/person for dinner.
Friday Night at the Movies, Jan. 7; Feb. 4; March 4: Come in your "PJs" for a movie in The Gathering Place. Bring a bunch of girlfriends, or come as a couple to sing along, dance, make chocolate s'mores and pig out on popcorn and candy. Movie starts are 8 p.m. January's movie is "Sound of Music," February is "Grease" and the March flick pick is "Dirty Dancing." Prices run from $218 for two people, based on double occupancy or $184 for a single.
Mind, Body and Spirit Renewal, Feb. 27-28 and May 15-16: Take a little "me time" with this relaxing, rejuvenating workshop experience. Come away with uplifting tools. Seasonal Wine TasteInns, Feb. 25; April 8; Aug. 26: Friends and guests will party the night away with Inn owner Terry Lingo, Chef Anthony Schulz and a selected wine/beer expert. Each TasteInn features a different beverage style: French wines in February; wines from Via Vecchia Winery in Powell, OH, in April; and Spanish wines in August. Weekend CookInn Classes, Jan. 21-22; March 18-19; Sept. 16-17: Overnight guests will join Chef Anthony Schulz for dessert and wine on Friday night. On Saturday, guests will prepare that night's dinner. This hands-on experience ranges from $485-$649/person depending on single or shared room and includes an Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls apron and Saturday night dinner. Each class is limited to eight people and an overnight stay is required.
Stepping Up & Out Woodland Awakening, April 28-May 1: Woodland Awakening offers personal growth via stepping outside the daily responsibilities to simplify life for a few days. Summer Desserts CookInn Class, Aug. 2: Chef Anthony Schulz chef will teach guests how to make desserts from scratch. Easy and delicious, this class includes instruction, recipes and lunch for only $55/person.
The Nature of Life-Inner Voice-Inner Light: Oct. 30-Nov. 1: Come join Stephen and Shawna R. Emerick during a two-day retreat to discover a new approach to daily living. The retreat is based around the serene combination of poetry and yoga to maintain a deeper self-discovery. Cost ranges from $339-$425/person, depending on shared/single room and includes overnight accommodations, dinner, lunch, breakfast and a poetry book. Registration is required.
Wine & Dine with Chef Anthony and his wife, Becky, Nov. 18: Guests will get to learn more about the life of a chef and all the excitement of the Inn's restaurant during this unique Wine & Dine with Chef Anthony and his wife. Anthony will weave tales of becoming a chef, while Becky humorously shares what it's really like being married to the gifted chef at a small inn. This event is $195/couple for dinner, wine, tax and gratuity. Seating is limited to four guests and a two-night stay is required.
Thanksgiving Dinner at the Inn, Nov. 24: Friends and family will give thanks and eat a bountiful meal at the Inn this Thanksgiving. With all of the traditional fixings, reserve early because this dinner is always sold out. Cost is $42/Adults and $21/Children 10 & Under.
Holiday Wreath Making, Dec. 8: Join Kellie Hutchison, Inn gardener and nature enthusiast, to create a natural 20-24-inch wreath of fresh cut evergreens and dried botanicals. Guests may bring along a special accent to personalize their wreath. Cost is $55 and includes lunch and all supplies.
Cookie Baking, Dec. 4 and 9: Join cookie queen and breakfast cook, Joan Heitman, for the Inn's most popular and longest-running cooking class. This hands-on class is always a sellout and has guests baking five different recipes carefully selected by Joan and Innkeeper Ellen Grinsfelder. This year we added a Sunday class (Dec. 4) so children can attend without missing school. Lunch is provided and guests will receive a box of cookies to take home, along with the fabulous recipes. Cost is $55.
New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner, Dec. 31: Let the Inn cook a feast for you and your guests while ringing in the New Year. Dinner is $49/person.
