MVPExchange.com Launches its Real-Time Fantasy Sports Stock Market

After opening a free account, users are able to buy and sell virtual shares of their favorite professional athletes across several different sports. After opening their free "Sportfolio", traders can buy and sell shares of whichever athletes they please. There are over 800 professional athletes available for trading across football, basketball, and baseball, with more on the way.

The price of each athlete's stock fluctuates just like a real stock on the New York Stock Exchange. The more demand there is for an athlete the higher the price is driven, and athlete stocks are also given bonuses based on their performance in games.

"My favorite part about the game is that everything is happening live and in real-time. When an athlete scores a Touchdown or hits a Home Run there is a race among users to buy shares of that athlete," says Jason Goldstein, an avid sports fan and a tester for MVPExchange. As more users purchase the same athlete the share price increases, so those who buy first are rewarded. The following morning athlete's receive positive or negative bonuses based on their play in the previous night's game. Following the bonuses there is a race to sell these athletes and liquidate your Sportfolio to make room for the next day's top performers.

"The way this market is structured creates an atmosphere where traders are constantly trying to outsmart and beat one another to the punch, in order to maximize profits," says Martin Stevens, a former stock broker and tester for MVPExchange. The reward for beating your competition is weekly and monthly prizes in the form of cash, currently totaling $250 per month.

Creating a fast paced stock market environment is important but it is not the only focus of MVPExchange.
