ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, January 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thousands of performers and visitors will be heading to South Australia next month for the start of the 2011 Adelaide Fringe.
The largest arts festival in the country will take place between February 18th and March 13th and is sure to encourage plenty of people to book hotels in Adelaide.
More than 740 events have been registered ahead of this year's edition of the fringe, representing an increase of 65 per cent on the number that took place in 2006.
Among the highlights of the packed line-up will be Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer's shows at The Spiegeltent, which are due to take place at 22:00 local time on March 2nd and 3rd. Tickets for these gigs are priced at AU$45.
The Best of the Edinburgh Fest comedy show will be held on every night of the fringe, offering people staying in cheap Adelaide hotels the chance to watch comics Gordon Southern, John Robins and Stephen Grant in action.
These shows will be staged at The Gov at 19:45 each night, with tickets costing AU$21.60.
And with an array of other acts - including circus, cabaret, puppetry and dance performances - also confirmed, tourists who have booked hotel deals for the event are sure to find something that appeals to them.
