TENBY, WALES, January 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People staying in one of the hotels Tenby has to offer next month may be keen to learn more about Pembrokeshire's history during their holiday.
A visit to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park could be ideal for curious travellers, as a range of educational activities and special events are held there throughout the year.
One such occasion is Living in the Past, which offers to give people an insight into a typical Iron Age existence on Tuesday February 22nd.
At Castell Henllys, an important archaeological site within the park where several Celtic hill forts have been reconstructed on their original foundations, visitors will be given a window into life in an ancient era.
They will meet Iron Age woman Arianrhod as she goes about her chores and learn what it was like to live in a primitive roundhouse, as well as lending a hand with her daily tasks.
Living in the Past is free to attend and families are welcome. The event will begin at 11:00 GMT and last until 15:00.
Castell Henllys is accessible by public bus service and attendees are asked to confirm their attendance before setting off.
The site, which functions as a training excavation for young archaeologists, is considered to be the most authentic reconstruction of Iron Age roundhouses in the UK.
For more information on this event, visit the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park website or contact the organisers on 01239 891319.
